Spanish Immersion for All Elementary Learners Institute Background
Providing equity and access to our diverse learners in our Spanish Immersion program is accomplished through a variety of DLI teaching strategies including, but not limited to the use of verbal and non-verbal prompting, sentence stems, and resources available at home and at school. Additionally, recruiting diverse staff, SEL training, inclusion and planning for EL learners, summer experiences, STEAM classes and early access to college credit opportunities demonstrate excellence in language learning at Townsend Elementary School.
