Russian Immersion for Rural Learners Institute Background
Overlake Elementary offers the only Russian Dual Language Immersion program in the state of Utah, in a rural community west of Salt Lake City. We primarily serve neighborhood students, which include students with IEPs and 504s, English-language learners, and economically disadvantaged students. Our program demonstrates steady Russian language growth alongside English academic gains.
