Baton Rouge Foreign Language Academic Immersion Magnet (FLAIM) is a Kindergarten through 5th grade international, national, and state award-winning public magnet school. FLAIM is an academic school with the theme of immersion.
As part of the East Baton Rouge Parish School System in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, FLAIM is Baton Rouge's only dedicated public immersion school. Our unique program combines academic excellence with foreign language immersion in French, Mandarin or Spanish. FLAIM students receive their math, science, and social studies instruction in their target language.
FLAIM has received numerous awards, including:
• In 2014 and 2017, recognized as a State-Certified World Language Immersion School.
• In 2016 and 2019, granted the LabelFranc√âducation seal by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
• In 2017, recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School.
